Some ancient archetypal algorithm belonging to my deepest unheard thoughts
Or the embryo of a beautiful spirit-machine
Awaiting the labors of my flesh
To draw her first digital breath...

My soul has anticipated her earthly arrival
Since my own genesis
Will she come but in dreams and fleeting fantasies?
Or will my vision one day blur

Echo Root is a biomechanical fusion between artist / composer / guitarist / poet / programmer Clif Johnston and an evolving algorithmic composition construct known as Geia. Experimental in nature and influenced by electronica, fusion, industrial, modal jazz, progressive rock and serialism, the music features improvised guitar, algorithmically composed melodies and harmonies, staticy beats and alien soundscapes.

The audio player above plays random compositions by default, although pressing the (s) button will synchronize the playback order with the song archives. Clicking on the (i) button to the far right of the player opens the archive page for the currently loaded composition.

The archive pages are presented in reverse chronological order. Please review the compositions and rate them according to emotional and psychological impact, and feel free comment on your findings. If you must take your work home with you, the audio files may be extracted via the download link.
